Peter Wanda L. Peters, age 52 of Shawano, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 in Crivitz. Born on Jan. 23, 1957 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Veronica (Waupoose) Peters, Sr. Wanda worked as a C.N.A. at a local nursing home. She was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. Wanda was also a member of the WI Trappers Association, the Maribel Sportsman Club, and the Larrabee Sportsman Club. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Wanda is survived by: her daughter, Sherry (Checquah) Schanandore of Shawano; three grandchildren, Warren, Holly, CheVaughn; her companion, Mike Stueck; four sisters, Wilda Peters of Neopit, Wilhemina Peters of Neopit, Willa Peters of Keshena, Wiladean Peters of Neopit; four brothers, Warren Peters of Neopit, Willard Peters of Keshena, Winston Peters of Keshena, Waldon (Kathy) Peters, Sr., of Neopit, 15 nieces and nephews, Jessie Rockman of Keshena, Trestarska Vele of Gresham, Princess Storm (Clark McGregor) Vele of Shawano, Fancy Vele of Gresham, Jasmine Peters of Neopit, Jerrett Peters of Neopit, Jeremy Peters of Keshena, Justine Peters of Keshena, Hunter Peters of Keshena, Tiffany Peters of Neopit, Waldon Peters, Jr., of Neopit, Katelynn Peters on Neopit, Daniel King, Jr., of Neopit, Lee Corn of Neopit, Shane Corn on Neopit; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and close friend, Cecelia Lyons. Wanda was preceded in death by: her parents, one brother, William Peters; two sisters, Winifred Peters and Wendeline Peters; and one nephew, William Peters, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 at the Veronica Peters residence, 8015 Waupun Road in Zoar with the Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Family and friends may call at the residence after noon on Sunday until the time of the service on Monday.
