Miller Clair H. Miller, 78, of McGregor, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1995, in Prairie Health Care Center, Prairie du Chien, Wis., following a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. today, St. Mary's Catholic Church, McGregor, with burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, McGregor. Clair was born Sept. 1, 1917, in McGregor, to parents Harry T. and Carolyn Kathryn Zahn Miller. He married Floretta M. Melvin on July 31, 1938, at St. Mary's Church, McGregor. He farmed most of his life in the McGregor area and was an independent trucker until 1953. Clair was a member of the Eagles Club Aries No. 1502, Prairie du Chien; and Farm Bureau and St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor. He is survived by his wife, Floretta M.; one son, Harry (Linda) Miller of McGregor; one daughter, Kay (Ronald) Daubenmier of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren: JoMarie Miller, Mary (Jon) Miller, Michelle (Chris) Rew, Trent Daubenmier, Kara (Todd) Larson and Tim Miller; two great-grandchildren, Karly and Elli Abel; one brother, Donald J. Miller of Shawano, Wis.; and four sisters, Helen Hendrickson and Carole Lindner, both of McGregor, Margaret Borowiak of East Lansing, Mich., and Doris Bogue of Winter Park, Fla.
