Wick Carol R. Wick, age 93, of Clintonville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 14, 2009 at the Appleton Medical Center. Carol was born on April 20, 1916 in Knowlton, Marathon County, WI, the daughter of the late John F. and Sadie (Heath) Seavers. On September 1, 1935 she was united in marriage to Howard F. Wick at Zion Lutheran Church, Wausau. The couple moved to Clintonville where they lived most of their married life. Carol had worked in a chiropractic office in Clintonville. She had a friendly spirit who loved to laugh. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Carol was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville. Survivors include: Her husband of 73 years, Howard; her daughter: Shirley (Jerry) Ellis, Ogdensburg; her grandchildren: Connie (David) Hoff, Sr. of Wausau, Gregory (Debora) Ellis of Clintonville, and Christopher Ellis (fianc/: Trish King) of Wausau; her great grandson: Chad Ellis of Stevens Point, her step-great grandson: David Hoff, Jr. of Merrill. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ada Gartmann. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009 at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Daniel Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the St. Martin Lutheran Church Radio Ministry. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements.
