Harry was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Pulaski, to the late Dominic and Eva (Gawryla) Adasiewicz. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. On Feb. 4, 1967, Harry married Rosellen "Rosie" (Douville) Mellinger in Menominee, Mich. Harry was a barber in Cedarburg, Sheboygan, Pulaski, Green Bay, and Gillett. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Gillett where he ushered for many years. Harry was a member of the Krause-Simpson Post 300 Gillett American Legion for over 50 years. He was a past commander for the Gillett and Oconto County Legions. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golf, trap shooting and reading. Harry is survived by his wife Rosie, Gillett; one daughter Sandra Konitzer, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Tory (Michelle) Konitzer, Chelmsford, Mass; Kandy Konitzer, Gillett; K.C. (Rob) Brion, Elkhart Lake; Adam (Renee) Konitzer, Saukville; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Margaret "Mugs" Adasiewicz, Pulaski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including a special friend, Cindy Johnston, Sheboygan. Harry was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, a stepson, Gail Mellinger, and a special niece, Aurelia Johnson. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at St. John's Catholic Church, Gillett. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial 6 p.m. Monday, at the church, with the Rev. John M. Gallagher officiating. Interment in the church cemetery with graveside services conducted by Sr. Marla Clercx. Military Rites will be held at the cemetery conducted by the Gillett American Legion and VFW. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett 920-855-2144 is assisting Harry's family with arrangements.
