Serwe, 70, of Shawano, died Friday following a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Divine Saviour Lutheran Church, Shawano. The Rev. Roland Muetzel will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Mr. Serwe was born Dec. 8, 1902 at Cecil, Wis. He married Esther Behnke May 30, 1926, at Zachow, Wis. The couple farmed near Reedsville for a year and Brillion for six years, moving to Milwaukee in 1953. They were residents of Shawano the past two years. Survivors include his wife, a son, the Rev. Cyrill Serwe, of Eitzen, Minn., a brother, Alvin Hershlip, and a sister, Mrs. Roy Woods of Shawano, and 11 grandchildren. A brother, Joe, preceded him in death. Friends may call at Karth-Kopitzke Funeral Home, Shawano, after 3 p.m. Sunday.
