Adeline was born May 16, 1915 in Waubun, MN. As a young child, she moved with her family to Bejou, MN, and then Table Rock, NE. After a couple years, her family moved back to the Mahnomen, MN, area. In 1937 Adeline married Elwood Priebe in Rhinelander, and together they raised three daughters. They moved to Milwaukee in 1942, worked at Badger Meter for thirty years, and retired and moved to Suring in November, 1982. Adeline joined Faith United Lutheran Church soon after, and was a member of its Ladies Aid. Adeline enjoyed sewing for the residents at Woodlands Nursing Home in Suring. Adeline helped out at the Thrift Shop in Shawano and Green Bay, and worked with the quilting gals until she was no longer able to. Adeline had an independent spirit. Even at the age of 94, she loved to bake, cook and sew. She continued to live in her own home, and loved to do her own yard work. Adeline loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and make quilts for all her children and grandchildren. Adeline was very giving and supportive of others and loved visiting with all her friends and family. She was also very grateful for every little thing you did for her, and was never one to draw attention to herself. Adeline is survived by two daughters, Dorla Miller of Shawano, WI, and Murylene Clements of Suring, WI; a son-in-law, Kenneth of Suring, WI; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Beilke; two sisters, Elsie Hlubek, and Rose Landsverk; and her brother, Rudy Uhlir. Visitation will be held at Faith United Lutheran Church in Gillett on Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Laatsch officiating. Burial to follow in Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A special thank you to Woodlands Nursing Home of Gillett, Woodlands Nursing Home of Suring, and their staffs for the care given to Adeline, also Heartland Hospice. Kriewaldt Arthur G. Kriewaldt, age 88 of the Town of Richmond, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Neenah. Born February 22, 1921 in Shawano, he was the son of the late John E. and Eva M. (Geith) Kriewaldt. On Sept. 21, 1942 he enlisted with the United States Army and served his country for three years during World War II. On May 25, 1943 he was united in marriage to Ruth Bublitz in New Mexico. After his honorary discharge from service, Art worked as a cheese maker for 35 years and was a member of the Shawano County Cheese Makers Association. He also served on the Wisconsin Utility Investors Board and was past Chairman and Supervisor for the Town of Richmond. Art was a lifelong member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, a member of the Shawano American Legion Post #117, and the N.R.A. In his younger years, Art was an avid hunter. Art is survived by: two sons, John of Riverton, WY, Arthur of Appleton, daughter, Linda (Michael) Yde of River Ralls; three grandchildren, Amy (John) Muttart of Larsen, Samantha Keyes of River Falls, SFC Michael (Sabrina) Kriewaldt of Clarksville, TN; and seven great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Sierra and Mason Keyes, Emma Muttart, and Miguel, Marie and Marcos Kriewaldt. He is further survived by: brother, Irvin Kriewaldt of Langlade; sister, Ida Beltz of Shawano; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Bublitz of Green Bay; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Art was preceded in death by: granddaughter, Jill Hoffmyier; and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at the St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the Town of Richmond with the Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post #117. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday after 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Mace Eugene F. Mace, age 82, of Winneconne, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Shawano. Born on Aug. 4, 1926 in Winneconne, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Jorgenson) Mace. Eugene enlisted with the United States Navy and served his country during World War II. He later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked for the S.C. Johnson Company in Racine as an entomologist. On Sept. 3, 1949 he was united in marriage to Corrine Huelsbeck in Menasha. The couple later made their home in Florida, returning to Wisconsin a few years ago. Eugene was an avid duck hunter. Eugene is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Corrine "Corky"; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Cindy Mace of Lawson, Mo.; two daughters-in-law, Ursella Mace of Racine, Margo Mace of Shawano; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Calvin (Sarah "Sally") Mace of Oshkosh. Eugene was also preceded in death by two sons, Steven and Jeffrey Mace. Private family services will be held at a later date. Richmond Paul J. Richmond, "BIG KAHUNA," age 60, of Keshena, passed away Tuesday evening, June 16, 2009 at the Shawano Medical Center. Paul was born Jan. 25, 1949 in Keshena, a son of Arthur "Chappy" Chapman and the late Frances (Penass) Krogh. He attended the St. Joseph Catholic Grade School in Keshena, and Shawano High School, graduating in 1967. Following high school, he attended Northern Technical College in Antigo. He had been employed at the Menominee Tribal Enterprises mill in Neopit for over 30 years. He is a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Paul enjoyed playing golf and chess, as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and remembered as a big gentle man with a kind heart. Survivors include a son, Wayne (Shannon) Penass of Keshena; three grandchildren, Amber, Tina and Cassandra Penass; his father, Arthur "Chappy" Chapman; three brothers, Larry (Patricia), Jerry (Annette) and Mike Chapman; six sisters, Carrie (Guy) Peters, Barbara (Louis) Kakwitch, Patsy (Chapman) Healy, Mary (James) Wayka, Annette Richmond and Geradette Richmond; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by is mother and a sister, Rainelle Richmond. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 19 at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. Father Rob Rank will be the celebrant. Interment will be in the South Branch Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Neopit Community Center after 4 p.m. on Wednesday until the time of Mass on Friday afternoon. A parish wake service will be conducted on Thursday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at the Community Center.
