Esther M. Hoppe, 79, former resident of the Town of Lessor, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Good Shepherd Home, Seymour. She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in the Town of Waukechon to the late William and Elsie (Knueppel) Lemke. Esther married Walter Hoppe Oct. 3, 1942. The couple farmed in the town of Maple Grove for 27 years before retiring and moving to the Town of Lessor. Esther has lived at Good Shepherd Home, Seymour, for the past 7 years. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lessor. Survivors include her husband, Walter; one son, Dennis (Phyllis) Hoppe, Green Bay; two daughters, Gladys (John) Humecki, Oneida; and Grace (Alan) Ellingham, Racine; seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Peter) Plamann, Melanie (Thomas) Schmidt, Sheila (Dean) Re, Dan (Erin) Humecki, Paul (Zahra) Humecki, Eric (Kim) Ellingham and Sue Ellingham; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Billy. Funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lessor, with the Rev. Brad Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service. The family has established a memorial fund for Good Shepherd Home, Seymour, in appreciation of the loving care they gave to Esther. She was born Nov. 18, 1923, in the Town of Seymour, daughter of the late Chris and Cora (Sachs) Colling. She attended school in Shawano County. On June 5, 1943, she was united in marriage to Harvey A. Zuleger. The couple lived and farmed at their present address all of their married life. She was a life-long member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, belonging to the Concordia Society, Lutheran Women of the Church (WLCA) and Search Bible Class and had served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Gertie was a former 4-H leader and volunteer at Woodside Lutheran Home. She was currently a Good Shepherd Volunteer, president of the Happy Homemakers Club and belonged to the Senior Citizen's Bowling League and a birthday club. She is survived by her husband, Harvey; two children, John and Mary, Appleton; three brothers, Robert Colling, Oconto Falls; Franklin (Norma) Colling, De Pere; Nicholas Colling, De Pere; one sister, Mildred (Milton) Bohm, Bonduel; a sister-in-law, Alice Colling; two brothers-in-law, Fred Treptow, Shawano; and Orville Sievert, Seymour; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leonard; and four sisters, Esther, Alice, Theresa and Frances. He was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Underhill, to the late Alfred and Clara (Becker) Isaacson. He was a 1946 graduate of Gillett High School and attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in Forestry. He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, retiring in 1971 as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his distinguished career Ike served in Vietnam, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Korea and numerous state-side locations. He married the late Lorraine Neuman and had three children, Becky Lee (Boivin), Lisa Mae (Rickard) and Daniel. In 1966, he married Aileen Farmer. Ike and Aileen operated Isaacson's Cottages from 1971 to 1989, in Cecil where he also served his community as Village Board President for a period of time. Ike was a member of the Bonduel American Legion and the Oconto County D.A.V. Chapter 45. He was very active in the Bethel Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley.! He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and especially his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife, Aileen, Shawano; his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Sue, Brooksville, Fla; his grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Boivin, Danielle (Fiance, Nate Bunnell), Lisa Boivin, Sara and Ian Isaacson; his great-granddaughter, MacKenzie Boivin; and his former son-in-law, Michael (Kari) Boivin, Waupaca. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine; daughters, Becky and Lisa; and one brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Agnes Isaacson. Verna spent most of her life in Green Bay raising her children, cooking and being a good homemaker. In her spare time she loved to play cards and her greatest joy was crocheting doilies for her family. She loved to dance and to converse with everyone. She spent her last years with her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bob Rubens and their family. Verna especially loved her great-grandchildren and Ryan who called her MoMo. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was born on July 11, 1934, in Black Creek, Wis., the son of the late Ervin Zuleger and Velma (Thomas) Leist. Jim graduated from Bonduel High School followed by two years of Technical School in Chicago. Jim was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for four years and was stationed in the Pacific while holding rank as a Sergeant. When he returned to the states, he married Patsy (Horn) Bellin. Jim worked for Miller Electric for six years and was a manager of the New London Golf Club for two years. He worked in retail selling men's clothing for over 20 years and drove for, and thoroughly enjoyed, working for Medivan before retiring in July of 1999. Jim sang in the Mount Olive Lutheran Church Choir for a number of years and also sang with the McDowell Men's Chorus for ten years. He was a member of the Old Salt's C! ompany, USMC. Jim is survived by his wife by heart, Paula ""Niki" Lettau-Hull and her son, Aaron, Appleton; his two daughters, Luanne Zuleger, Appleton; and Lori (Michael) Farragh, Appleton; his former wife, Patsy Bellin, Appleton; and his only grandson, Kaleb Farragh, Appleton; a sister, Karen (George) Hamilton, Lake Mills, Wis.; special nieces and nephews, Georgette and Chris Hamilton; Mellany (Chuck) Hamilton-Coleman; Debbie (Dave) Bornhuetter, Dean (Mary) Zuleger; an aunt, Ella Bergsbaken, Seymour; and an uncle, Arnold Zuleger, Chicago. He is further survived by many special cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin; his mother, Velma; his stepfather, George Leist; a brother, Alex; and his aunt and uncle, Margie and Melvin "Puzzy" Zuleger. Colling De Pere Age 70, passed away Sunday, November 21, 1999, at a local hospital. The daughter of Roy and Irene (VanderBloemen) Andersen was born on February 17, 1929, in De Pere. She married Frank Colling on October 23, 1948, at Hickory Corners Church. Norma graduated from Oconto Falls High School in three and a half years with high honors and immediately began working for the Wisconsin Telephone Company where she worked in the traffic and engineering departments for 35 years before retiring in the fall of 1982. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Norma and Frank owned and operated Fra-Nor Ceramics for many years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Society. Norma enjoyed gardening and especially flowers. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Franklin C. a daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Mike Seeman, Little Chute a granddaughter, Erin Seeman a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Mary Andersen, White Lake great aunt, Florence Vander Bloemen, White Lake and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Frank's family, Mildred and Milton Bohm, Bonduel Robert Colling, Oconto Falls Nick Colling, De Pere Fritz Treptow Shawano Orville Sievert, Seymour Harvey Zuleger, Seymour and Alice Colling, Seymour.
