Born April 10, 1935, in Minneapolis, she was the daughter of Walter and Linda (Tuorila) Piekkola. She lived most of her life in Marble and was a 1953 graduate of Greenway High School. She was an employee of the Itasca Medical Center for over 35 years, working in housekeeping, admitting and switchboard, and in the laundry. She was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church, Marble, and its Naomi Circle. She had served as treasurer for the city of Marble for four years, was in the Marble Civic Club, was a member of the Grand Rapids Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, had been a Girl Scout leader, and was an active AFSCME Union member, having served as an officer. Delores and Arthur Chenevert were married June 18, 1953, in Marble. Following his death, Delores and James Coulombe were married May 11, 1978, at Sisseton, S.D. Survivors include her husband James; daughters, Suzanne (Terry) Goddard of Pennock, Lyn (Pete) Andrican of Hibbing, Judy (Philip) Roux of International Falls, and Kathy (Rick) Nelson of Willmar; grandchildren, Angie (Chris) Porter of Willmar, Jessica (Joe) Napper of Buffalo, Craig (Lisa) Platt of Hibbing, Amy (Joe) Frantzen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Tony and Kristina Goddard of Pennock, Cayla and Curtis Nelson of Willmar, and Jonah and Tessa Roux of the Falls; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Platt of Hibbing, Riley and Jacob Frantzen of Sioux Falls, and Ashleigh Napper of Buffalo; her mother, Linda Piekkola of Calumet; sisters, Carolyn (Delbert) Bernu of New York Mills, Minn., Venita (Don) Karcz and Janice Putnam, both of Aniwa, Wis., and Nancy Satterfield of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers, Gerald (Judy) Piekkola of Marble and Dennis Piekkola of Dayton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Piekkola, in 1972, her first husband, Arthur Chenevert in 1967, and her son, Philip Chenevert in 1998. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 27, at Peterson Funeral Chapel, Coleraine, and will continue from 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Oct. 28, at the funeral chapel. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Peterson Funeral Chapel, Coleraine, is in charge of arrangements. Martin R. Sobiesczyk, 89, former Bonduel resident, went home to the Lord Sunday, July 11, 1999, at Woodhaven Manor, Pulaski, following a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 5, 1909, in the Town of Lessor to the late William and Mary (Jaskolski) Sobiesczyk. Martin married Rose Ciesielczyk Oct. 7, 1933, at Hofa Park. The couple recently celebrated 66 loving years of marriage. Martin was employed by Equity Livestock, Bonduel, for about 28 years, retiring in 1984. He loved to go ice fishing. He was a longtime member of St. Martin Catholic Church, Cecil, and a church usher for most of his adult life. Survivors include his wife, Rose; six children, Leonard (Theresa) Sobiesczyk, Milwaukee; William (Lucille) Sobiesczyk, Freedom; Anne Mayer, Green Bay; Delores (Frank) Czarapata, Pulaski; Ray (Terry) Sobiesczyk, Green Bay; and Mary Jane Kozlowski, Pulaski. Also 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Alvin (Eleanor) Sobiesczyk; a sister-in-law, Barbara (John) Sobiesczyk; and a brother-in-law, Edward (Ginny) Ciesielczyk. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Anna Bukowski; and three brothers, Frank, Leo and John. Piekkola Dec. 1, 1937, at Sebeka, Minn., and they lived at New York Mills until moving to Marble in the spring of 1941. Her husband, Walter, died in 1972. She moved to Calumet in 1996. Linda was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marble where she was active with the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Marble Senior Citizens and Marble Civic Club. Linda enjoyed her grandchildren and crocheting. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Chenevert Coulombe; grandsons Philip Chenevert and Gary Karcz; sisters Lillian Tuorila and Esther Aho; and brothers Albert, Ernest, Ben and Eino Tuorila. She worked with community health care and was a nurse anesthetist at Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital (later Good Samaritan), St. Anthony's Hospital, Marion Catholic Home, Northwest General Hospital, St. Joseph's in Beaver Dam and St. Mary's Hill Hospital. In her retirement, she worked as a receptionist and filing clerk in the U.S. Province Offices. In 1974, she was called to minister to the poorest people in Latin America after the devastation of the hurricane FIFI. Survivors include three sisters, Ardella (William) Raaths, Shawano; Esther (Jack) Eckerson, Stevens Point; and Orriene (Curtis) Magee, Bonduel; one brother-in-law, Curtis Magee; and four sisters-in-law, Anabel (Marvin) Berg, Carrie (Alvin) Berg, Adeline (Loyal) Berg and Eve (Harvey) Berg; also many nieces and nephews. She was born June 3, 1932, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Louis and Dorothy Kienbaum. They moved to Wisconsin in December of 1934. Myrtle lived on a farm where her parents were sharecroppers. She worked as a waitress and later for Wisconsin Electric in Milwaukee for many years, retiring in 1995, when she moved to Duluth and attended Lutheran Church of Christ the King in Duluth. In Milwaukee, she was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis William Kienbaum in 1995; and a brother, Daniel in 1997. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Kienbaum of Duluth; sons George (Kathy) Hotchkiss of West Jordan, Utah, and Joseph Spear of Milwaukee; a daughter, Joyce Spear of Milwaukee; brothers Henry J. (Elvera) Kienbaum of Wapata, Wash., Louis E. (Donna) Kienbaum of Duluth and George A. He was active in the founding of Lakeside Lutheran High School, and served on the Jefferson County Board as supervisor from 1968 to 1982.
