On May 12, 1990, he was united in marriage to Charlene (Miller) Blake at the Cicero Lutheran Church. Dallis attended Elm Lawn and Seymour High Schools. After graduation he entered the Army during the Korean Conflict, serving in France. Upon returning, he farmed in Briarton, later working for Midwest Breeders. In 1971, he moved to Black Creek and worked as a field representative for Outagamie Producers Co-op. From 1980 until his semi-retirement, he was a self-employed insurance agent. Dallis enjoyed his children, grandchildren, his many friends, playing cards and golfing. He was a lifelong Dodgers fan and enjoyed playing baseball in high school, the military service and on the Navarino team of the Dairyland League. He also enjoyed being in the woods and making firewood. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Cicero and was a very active member of Duhm-Masch American Legion Post #332 of Black Creek. "Pete" Albert E. Quinney, age 75, Town of Red Springs, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at his home. Born on June 16, 1934 in the Town of Red Springs, he was the son of the late Alice (Quinney) Bowman and was born a proud member of the Stockbridge Munsee Indian Tribe. In 1956 Albert enlisted with the United States Army and served his country for two years during the Korean War. He worked as a machine operator at the Fort Howard Paper Mill in Green Bay for 25 years, where he was a member of the Fort Howard Key Club and the Quarter Century Club. In 1962, he was united in marriage to Sharon Cox and in 1995 he returned to the Red Springs area until his death. Albert was a member of the Gresham Baseball Hall of Fame. He had a love of sports and especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, gardening, taking trips to Sturgeon Bay, listening to oldies country music, and telling old stories. Albert is survived by: 2 sons, Allen (Andrea) Quinney of Gresham, Anthony "Tony" Quinney, Gresham; 1 daughter, Judith "Judy" (Henry) Rudesill, Gresham; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Sara, Chase, Aric, Bradley, Ashley, Jordan, Cayley, Aiden, Tiger; 4 great-grandchildren, Lexus, Arianna, Austin, Mikayla; and a brother, Randy Bowman, Menasha. Albert is further survived by: 2 special aunts, Ernie (Virgil) Murphy and Ardis Price; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Albert was preceded in death by: his parents; and 1 sister, Judith. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Karl Thompson officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Gresham American Legion Post #390 and the Mohican Veterans at the funeral home following the service. Inurnment will be in the Red Springs Cemetery. Joseph "Joe" E. Koelbl, age 69, of the Township of Matteson, Waupaca County, WI, passed away Thursday morning July 9, 2009, at his residence. Joe was born on August 18, 1939, in Sugar Bush, WI. He was the son of the late Kilian and Phoebe (Lehman) Koelbl. After growing up in the Sugar Bush area, Joe moved to the Township of Matteson where he began logging with his father. Later Joe worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, Mantin Construction in Clintonville, and came back to the logging industry. He then spent 20 years working for the City of Clintonville's Street Department before retiring. Joe was united in marriage to Della Wilken on March 17, 1973, at the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville where he was a current member. Joe had a love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Survivors are his wife, Della; three sons: Joseph "Joe" K. (Roslyn) Koelbl, Marion; Troy E. (Jody) Koelbl, Clintonville; Todd L. (Special Friend: Holly Noggle) Clintonville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters: Colette Schoenheide, Clintonville; Marsha "Jean" (Denny) Burch, Plymouth, FL; Patricia (Gregg) Ashenbrenner, Beaver Dam; Karen (Steve) Meyer, Great Falls, MT; a brother, Mark (Penny) Koelbl, Clintonville. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law: Gerald Schoenheide and Robert Hansen. Funeral services will be held on Monday July 13, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with the Rev. Daniel Burns officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday and after 2 p.m. on Monday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by his family. Nowak Sr., 74 went to be with the Lord, June 14, 2009. He was born to John and Hilda (Hanson) Nowak on July 6, 1934, in Angelica. He graduated from Oconto Falls High School in May of 1952 and joined the Navy in June of 1952. He was a submariner until May 1955. He went to work for Northwest Engineering, a crane manufacturing company in Sept. 1955. Between the Navy and his job, he traveled 3/4's around the world. He loved working on anything mechanical from large cranes to small engines. He moved to three different states with his job and settled in Green Cove Springs in 1993. He worked for the crane division of MD Moody until May of 2002 when he retired. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judith (Elliott-Rowell); his children, Guy (Leslie) Nowak, Gilbert, Ariz.; JoAnn (Craig) Fischer, Denver, Colo.; Gilbert Nowak Jr., Tomah, Wis.; Brian Nowak, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Terri (Jay) Bartholomew, Milwaukee, Wis.; Becky (Rick) Nowak-Wied, Pulaski, Wis.; 20 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. Gil was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the American Legion Hall, N. St. Augustine St., Pulaski, with Rev. Robert Wied officiating. Glenzer, 77, formerly of Angelica, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at his home, with his family at his side. The son of the late John and Mary (Hermans) Glenzer was born on Feb. 29, 1932, in Green Bay. On Nov. 15, 1952, he married Ardella Adams in Green Bay. Together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Jim worked for many years at Northwest Engineering. He and Della owned and operated Jim and Della's Midway Bar in Angelica from 1974 to 2008 where they made many good friends. Jim also enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family has "inherited" his love for fishing. Jim could never pass by a rummage sale. In addition to his wife, Della, he is further survived by a daughter, Sue (Tom) Swenson, Suamico; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tom Glenzer, Berry Lake; Ron (Clarissa "Chris") Glenzer, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Shane, Chad, Jesse and Tammi, Naomi, Brooke, and Melissa; nine great-grandchildren and two on the way; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Blum Albert "Al" J. Blum, 83, of Cecil passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Al was born on Feb. 2, 1926, to the late Peter and Dora (Book) Blum at West Phalia, Iowa. Al served in the United States Army. On Feb. 7, 1950, he married Mildred Kloewer at St. Boniface Catholic Church in West Phalia, Iowa. Al and Mickie farmed in the Cecil area. He always took pride in a straight corn row. After retiring, he enjoyed driving for and visiting with the Amish. He was a member of the Bonduel American Legion Post 217, a member of the White Clay Lake Sportsman Club and he loved to play pool. He played baseball up until he was 50 and then very much enjoyed coaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the game of baseball. He loved to attend the activities that all the children participated in. Al was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Cecil and for many years helped with the maintenance of the church.
