Edna's older brother Martin married Margaret Samp (my dad's Aunt), caughter of Gustave Samp and Barbara Grab. Charles and Edna were in Cecil, living with Charles/Carl Koeppen and Mathilda. My aunt's and father met Charles son Roger Whittaker at a reunion (circa 1938). Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: RJ_Samp Surnames: Samp Grab Zachow Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.shawano/17046/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Always wondered how the teenagers from the outlying communities attended High School back in say, 1905. For the Gustave Samp\Barbara Grab family of Cecil (on Freeborn St), it was pretty simple. The teenagers lived with Barbara's younger brother Henry Grab in Shawano during the school year. Barbara's older brother Joseph (wife Annie Zachow) lived in Cecil as well (he ran a shoe repair shop and general merchandise store for 20 years in Cecil (1887 - 1907))...and their children lived with the Henry Grab's as well during the Shawano High school year. Henry Grab (1872-)eventually moved to Oconto (Lena, Oconto Falls), does anyone know his wife Mary's maiden name? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
