    1. [WISHAWAN] Robert F. Busch (1920 - 2009)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: ChgoKid Surnames: Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.shawano/17143/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Green Bay Press Gazette August 31, 2009 Busch, Robert F. Robert F. Busch, 88, Chase, passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 29, 2009, at his home, following a courageous and short-term battle with cancer. His family was at his side. Bob was born on Oct. 4, 1920, in Maple Grove, to Louis and Louisa (Muck) Busch. >From 1944 to 1946, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. Bob was an MP in Hawaii for the duration of his tour of duty. It was while home on furlough that he found the one thing to which we all aspire ... the love of his life. Marjorie M. Clark and Bob were married on July 26, 1947. The couple recently celebrated 62 years of what his family likes to refer to as "enduring love". Bob learned his love of the outdoors and nature at an early age. The time he spent as a member of FFA was important to him and helped form his love of the land and farming. Some of the family's fondest memories involved nature walks with his children and grandchildren through the hardwoods on his farm. Those same endless memories serve as the source of many of the grandchildren's stories. Hunting was one of Bob's passions. He hunted "old school," no cabins and running water for him. Bucks only, no antlerless for Bob! All animals worked their way into Bob's heart. Whether it was the large animals on the farm or his many special dogs and kitties, they were all lucky to roam the Busch acreage. Molly and "Katz" brought much comfort and joy to his final days. Survivors include his wife, Marge; four children and six grandchildren, Dan (Darlene) Busch, Suamico, and their children, Melissa (Jeremy) Martinson, Andrew Busch (Billy) and Rebecca (Aaron) Wright; Jerry "Benny" (Gail) Busch, Pulaski, and their children, Brenda (Todd) Santoro and Brent (Lori) Busch; Chris Busch (fiance, Lenny Deneys), Oconto; Jim Busch, Denver, Colo.; and Steve's daughter, Jenny Busch; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Mitch and Olivia and Zane; and a niece, Joann (Frank) Henn. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Busch; a great-granddaughter, Hana; and his brother, Arnold (Theresa) Busch. Friends may call at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Sobieski, after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, Fr. Gerald Prusakowski, O.F.M. presiding, with burial to follow in Hillside Cemetery, Angelica. Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, is serving the family. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, especially Bonnie and Heidi, for their compassionate and loving care. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.marnochafuneralhome.com. I have a lot of info regarding Louis Serwe's wife and children; however, I would like to know his parents' names. I have a small obit of his from a Manitowoc paper. Louis was born Dec 8, 1902 in Cecil. He farmed for a brief time in the area before living in Milwaukee. He later returned to live before passing March 9, 1973. Do you have more to add? He married Esther Behnke in Zachow at Zion Lutheran on May 30, 1926. She passed April 20, 2003. Both are buried at Woodlawn in Shawano. They had one son named Cyrill Louis Serwe who became a minister and had eleven children. I have much more to share. Do you have an interest or more to add?
