Ruth, Sorry I was so long in responding to your questions about Minerva being in California. All I know is that in the 1910 Census, Marshall Co., WV, Benjamin and Clara (McMillan) Wise are living on Highland Avenue, with one child, Wanda, age 4, Minerva age 73 and her daughter Clara, age 37 are living with Banjamin. Benjamin, Clara (wife), Wanda and Doris (second daughter) moved to California between 1911 and 1913. Doris Wise was born June 15, 1910, Moundsville, WV, and we have a picture taken of Doris and Wanda in Pomona, CA., Doris was 3 at that time. Clara Wise (Benjamin's sister) married between 1910 and 1919, William J. Jones of Troy, NY. My father was born in her house on East End Avenue, in Chino, CA., in 1919 and the 1920 Census lists them on East End Avenue. I don't know where or when Clara and William were married or when they moved to California. My guess is that when George died, Minerva moved in with Benjamin. However, I don't know where she lived after he moved to California before she moved here. Hope this helps. For the November Newsletter: Does anyone have a date and place of death for Rev. George Wise, b. 1813? I would also like to contact any descendants of Rev. George Andrew Wise b. Oct 25, 1842. He is listed as the first child of Rev. George and Nancy (Keys) Wise in the Adam Wise Family book compiled by Cummings and Hayward.. He was not listed in the Wise Family Bible. I would love to know more about him and what happened. I tried to obtain a copy of his Death Certificate, but in Kansas you must be a direct family member. Hope I made everything clear. It does get a little confussing. Sandy
