Pam, I can't help but wonder if my WISE family is related to yours. I have documented information that goes back to my GGGgrandfather, Andrew Wise, b. 1797 PA. He died in Licking Co. and is buried at Mt. Olive which has grave sites in both Muskingum and Licking Counties. A WISE relative that is still living in the Zanesville, Ohio area thinks that our family is English (not German). I had always thought we were of German decent, but Don Wise swears that we came from England, moved to France, and then to America - VA. Next to PA and then to Ohio. The Adam Wise book published in 1998 shows my Andrew Wise as a direct decedent of the Adam Wise family, but I continue to have my doubts. I believe that like the Adam Wise family my Wise family lived in Washington, PA area, I believe Somersett Twsp. However, at this point I just don't know if we are, or are not related to the Adam Wise line. Lydia is a common name among my Wise family of Licking and Muskingum Counties. I do have a complete picture of Andrew Wise and up to the current date, but am just unsure about Andrew's parents.
