I am interested in this James Wise family because of the Indiana connection. My great grandfather was Sylvester J. Wise, b.1850, d 1924. About the only thing I know about his origin is that his state of birth was Indiana. This information I got from his daughter's death certificate. While I know that doesn't necessarily prove it to be true, it's the only thing I have to go on. Does anyone out there know anything about Sylvester?
