Hi, Yes indeed there were WISE's in AL, the ones I'm researching are mostly in Coffee/Dale Co.the Herren WISE which was my husband's ancestor first showed up in Dale Co in the 1830 Census, he was in Wilkinson Co. GA in 1820. I have not run accross a David Nathan though. Herren's father may have been Joseph WISE this particular Joseph died after 1830 in Coffee Co AL, whether there is a connection to James and Rebecca Massey WISE has not been proven or disproven yet. There seem to have been two Joseph's in GA one in Oglethorpe Co and the other in Wilkinson in 1820. Any information which may clear up this mystery will be greatly appreciated.
