The Nimrod Wise Bible list was sent to me 10 years ago by a correspondent from New Mexico, with roots in Crowder, OK, and Carrol Co. AR. She had no location for Nimrod Wise at the time. To what states did this Frederick Wise, William Wise, or Nimrod Wise migrate? Do I understand correctly that Frederick Wise was the husband of Mary Ann Baker? William Wise m ?? Nimrod Wise m ?? Jacob Wise m ?? Where did Mary Ann Baker Wise Taylor live with her new husband & children? My Wises were from SC as I mentioned in my first posting yesterday. There are some in teh 30's and 40's who joined DAR on their connection to the Col. John Wise of Accomac Co. VA--but now researchers think that is not a true connection. Some speculate it is--but James Wise refused to marry a "cousin" chosen as bride for him and was disinherited and migrated to SC. Some story, huh?
