My line is WEIS/WEISS (and ocassionally mispelled WIES/WISE). Line dates back to earliest record of mid 1600's. All until 1830 born and died in Gamshurst, Baden, Germany. In 1830 Johannis Nicholas WEISS and wife, Anna Maria (ALLGEYER) came to America with five sons, Karl, Stanislaus, Nicholas, Joseph, Joachim, and daughter Cunigunda. They settled in Mercer County, OH.
