Sometime ago in the infancy of my genealogical work, I found a wedding announcement in the 21 Dec 1896 edition of the Coffeyville Journal (Coffeyville, Montgomery Co., KS) that mentioned Myrtle WISE. I jotted the reference down and I remember that it struck me because my Wises are from that area and I had no record of her. That was the ONLY reference I could find. If you'd like to read the article, I found it on page 1, col D and page 4, col D. I'm not sure its connected, but later, on 30 Dec 1896 (page 1), an article appeared regarding the marriage of the daughter of George WISE. Floyd and "Grandfather" WISE [WHY DO THEY DO THAT!] were in attendance. Martin WISE gave a gift. I don't have any record of any of these folk either, except for maybe Grandfather :-).
