I have a Phillip Wise who was born in the late 40s and one of my brothers was named French Phillip Wise, born in 1920. These are descendants of Joseph Wise, who came to S.E. Alabama , from Wilkerson, the first part of 1820s. I published a 350 page book in November 1998, entitled The Wise Kin Now and Then. I believe there are more Wises in the U.S. than any other name.
