I am seeking information about Henry Weis (Weiss?) who married my paternal grandmother, Amelia "Mattie" Nettlebeck Pope, subsequent to her being widowed in 1915. I don't know where or when Henry married my grandmother. When Amelia's first husband, Sylvester Pope, died Feb. 1915, she lived in Vandalia, Fayette County, IL. I visited the Fayette County courthouse and Evans Library in Vandalia earlier this year and found no reference to Henry in marriage, death, or census records. After marriage to Henry Weis, they lived in South Sioux City, NB. I believe Amelia died in 1938, probably in NB (not sure), and that after Amelia's death Henry removed to Beatrice, NB.
