Hello Jacque, I thought I'd already answered this message but can't find any trace of it so assume I didn't. Wyse was my maiden name, my father was from Scotland. There are Wyse's all over the world. The story we were told was that we were decended from Napolean Bonaparte and when he was defeated at Waterloo the family scattered. My mother never quite believed it till she started getting phone calls from visitors to Canada where they would look up the name in the phone book. We lived in Toronto at that time and there were only two listed, my father and my grandfather. After hearing the same story from all these strangers my mother had to accept it.
