Tammy, The fact that you know he was born in Germany in 1845 eliminates the line I know most about, the Adam Wise line, so I can help you that much, we know he is NOT of those lines. I have a German g grandfather we are at a brick wall on also, Wacker, Wachter or maybe even Vacher, changed to Walker! So I know your frustration. Good luck.
