Dennis, What information do you have on WISE in Butts Co, GA and when? Our James WISE almost had to come through GA although our records seem to indicate no significant stops between Marion Co, SC and Copiah Co, Miss. before their move about 1830 to Claiborne Parish, LA (up on the Arkansas line). At this moment I'd look in Alaska for clues about his parents -- GA sounds much more likely though.... One of his grandsons married Martha Caroline HAYNES from Heard Co.
