Tammy, I have an 1842 George Andrew Wise born in PA m in Brown KS to Anna Maria Gafford, their children were Charles H. Wise and Mary A. Wise. Where were your Wise family in 1874, do you know? Do you know their religion? George Andrew was born to Rev George Wise a Brethren minister, as were two of his brothers, John and David. If you know of a strong or even faded Brethren or Baptist background then they are probably descendants of the original (in this Wise family) David Wise who had 17 children and was very religious. But we do not have descendants of all his children. You family would be grandchildren probably.
