Ruth, I believe the religion was lutheran or catholic, but that came from my great grandmothers side (the Binders). I do not know what religion the Wise's were. In 1874 they were in Marshall County, Kansas, in Waterville. I don't have anymore than what was in the post. I do know that Conrad was born in 1845 in Galesburg Germany and that the name was changed from Weiss, Wiess, or Wiesse to Wise. And his family immigrated to America when Conrad was 8 years old.
