Thanks for the information on Richard Wise of St. Marys Co., MD. I believe that my line runs through his son William, although my information on the next couple of generations (down to Thomas and then George Wise) is pretty sketchy. The descendants I am tracking moved on to Monongalia Co., WV (or VA at that time). Some of them moved on to Missouri, while my line stayed in WV. I would be very interested in comparing information on later generations. Can you tell me how to get in touch with the St. Marys County Historical Society? Thanks.
