It contains information , pictures, maps, wills, and deeds about hundreds of descendants of Joseph Wise' four sons who came to the area of Coffee County in the early 1820s. Many of them are living in the S.E. part of Alabama today, but some are living in other parts of the U.S. I am a descendant of McKinney Wise. The other three sons were Daniel, Herren and Levy. I searched for this information for over twenties years. I visited many of the kin in their homes, by telephone and letter. I visited many cemeteries; reviewed church records; visited state archives in Montgomery, Alabama; Atlanta, Georgia; and Raleigh, North Carolina. I did research in the genealogy department of several libraries, and four or five county court houses.
