I don't know where George was from in Maryland . I only know that on his son William's 1880 Ohio census it states that his father(George) was born in Maryland as was his mother. I don't know her name. This George Wise had to have been in Ohio by 1820 when his son William was born because the same census report states that William was born in Ohio. George died and is buried in Tuscarawas County, Ohio in 1875. His tombstone inscription states he was 85 years old which means he was born in Maryland in 1790.
