Thanks, Betty. I don't have James Wise's birth date either, just the facts that he married before 1700 to Mrs. Elizabeth Toppan Clarke whose first husband, Nathaniel Clarke, Jr., died at sea in 1690. Their first known child was born in either 1700 or 1701. James died at the age of 82 in 1757. I haven't been able to find the immigrant ancestor nor any of James' siblings. Any suggestions?? Chris
