Looking for the descendants of Frederick Wise b. before 1730 d. ca 1809 Lincoln Co., NC. Sons John, Henry, and Jacob remained in the area. Daughters Maria Claira m. Philip Coulter and Barbara m. Thomas Rhyne did likewise. Daughter Maria Elizabetha (Marillis) disappeared from records and nothing more is known about her. Son David moved to Cape Girardeau Co., MO ca 1810 and his children moved into Pike, Greene, Macoupin, and Calhoun Co., IL. Son George moved to Buncombe Co., NC where he died before the 1830 census and his children moved into GA, SE TN and westward.. John had son Daniel who moved to Chester Co. SC. son George who moved to Indiana according to court records, but is disputed by some researchers who say he moved to Blount Co., AL. Henry's son John R. moved to Buncombe Co., NC where he appears on the 1850-60 census.
