Very excited to see your post on Benjamin Wise b. about 1772 probably in NC. The following Benjamin Wise is my dead-end in my family lineage: BENJAMIN WISE was in Mecklenberg County, NC 1790 census, apparently living alone and probably a minor. He seems to have been bonded to a William Cuthbertson because he was a minor, apparently orphaned, and moved with him to Burke County NC. (But family legend says that Benjamin had 3 brothers, 2 of which moved to Virginia). Benjamin married Sarah Cuthbertson (apparently William's daughter) in the early 1790's and I think lived out his life in Burke County. One of his children was named Josiah. I have more info on the children and their descendents that I can access later if you are interested. (Cuthbertson may be Culbertson - I can check on that).
