I am very new to this list, so have tried to proceed with caution! I have been searching for more information on Daniel Wise and his wife, Martha Ann Wilder. This couple married in Bienville Par.,LA 23 Sept 1860. Daniel served as Private, Co. E, 27 La.Inf. En. New Orleans, LA, March 14, 186_. (This from LA Confederate Soldiers, Vol 3, Bk 2, pg. 1141). The son and only surviving child of this couple was Isaac Edmond Wise, b. 28 July 1862, d. 3 May 1932. A copy of Isaac's Death Certificate shows that his parents were Daniel Wise, b. New York, and Martha Wilder, b. Louisiana. I have never been to place Daniel with any family of Claiborne Parish and would appreciate any help and willing to trade any information I have. I have been told by a family member that Daniel Wise was a silversmith in PA before coming to LA, but I have no proof of this. Doris (Newcomb) McMurchy
