I have a WEISE that is Roman Catholic/German. I have not been able to find out where in Germany they are from. They are Matthias WEISE born about 1837. I believe they settled in Minersville, Pa. (central PA.) His wife was Angeline HARRIS who also claims to be born in Germany, again I don't know where. I'm not even sure when they married. Sorry, it's not much information but it's all I have. You are the first person to post to this list that even remotely might connect! At least, thanks for the tip on somewhere to look in Germany.
