I'm researching a group of Wises that settled in Butts and Jasper counties in Georgia in the early 19th century, and I'd like to share information with anyone else looking at these Wises and relations: Joseph Wise b.ca 1830 and d.3/05/1905, Augustus Wise d.ca1885, and Jim Wise b 1875 and d.ca 1951. To date I've garnered information from the relevant censuses via microfilm at the University of Georgia, found a few marriage dates, and I lack only certain birth dates and specifics regarding parantage, along with some anecdotal information.
