Notes for JOHN ANDERSON WILEY: Was a First Lieutenant during the Civil War. (from obituary) Helped found the 15th Virginia Volunteers. Disabled during the War; nearly froze to death at New Creek, Virginia in the winter of 1862-63, and was a semi-invalid for the rest of his life. (2) SOLOMON BERKLEY ALLEN, November 05, 1863. Notes for WILLIAM CUMBERLEDGE: William enlisted in the Union Army on August 24, 1862 at Warren, Ohio. Unit was Co.
