They lived on Linville River in Altamont Township which is now located in Avery County North Carolina. This area was original located in Burke County, Mitchell and also listed in Watagua counties. William Harvey left his fathers home (at that time it was located in Mitchell County and according to my records taught school in the Bakersville area also did work for the county.
