His father, Henry Wise, was among the early settlers of Cedar co., came to Iowa in 1839. Married Catherine Barnard in 1862 she was born in Indiana in 1840. Have 6 children- Martin W, James E, Wilbur H, Hubert H, Lenora B, and Juliet.
