Wise, born in small town in Bell Ca in 1943 , Bell is 16 miles south of Los Angeles. My Dad Fred Wise and his two brothers, Curtis F., Irwin & sister Virgina came to So Cal in 1921. My Grandfather Frank and Grandmother Florence Anderson drove their 1920 Model "T" across the country hoping for a warmer weather to raise the family. My uncle Curtis passed on in 1984, before he passed he gave me all his info & pictures on our families background, I was the only one interested in the family tree. Most of the pictures belonged to my grandparents, on some of the pictures and written info I have seen or read the name RIDENOUR, I think Henry F & Amanda may have been my great-grand parents. I will go over the photos & written material again to be sure, some of the photos have names on the back. I can remember my uncle Curtis going back to Paton for a couple Wise Family Picnics, he was the only one that remembered the Aunts, Uncles and some of his cousins, Curtis was about 15 when the family left Paton, he told me he had a cousin living there that he traded family info with and that cousin was going to Germany to trace the family history before the ship brought them to the USA, it was about that time my uncle started getting sick and I lost that contact. Does someone still have the Wise Family Picnic? If so where & when? This is the first time I have tried to find some info on my grandparents, this is one of those projects that I've put off for many many years, and this is my first day for ANCESTRY.COM, just might be my lucky day?
