He died in 1903 after being attacked on his way home. I understand that he was married at least 2 if not 3 times. He was married to an "Ann" with the last name of Tesner or Arrowood. Possible that Ann was also called "Maggie" as she is listed on the 1910 census with my Great grandfather & mother James & Martha Hicks as Maggie Arrowood.
