He married ELIZABETH MCCULLOUGH Unknown. She was born 14 Mar 1817 in PA, and died 10 Jan 1887 in Wirt Co., WV. BIRTH: He was 32 in the 1860 Census of Bellville Dist, Jackson Co. WV, page 164. DEATH: Isaac Wise, Male, died Dec. 19, 1908, Widowed, 90 years, 9 months, 7 days, died at Syracuse Ohio. Place of birth: Morgantown, PA. Cause of death: Old age. Place of Residence: Syracuse. Source: Meigs County, Ohio Death Records DEATH: The Leader, Pomroy, Ohio December 23, 1908 Isaac Wise was born in Morgantown, PA, March 12, 1818. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Blake, of Syracuse, Dec. 19, 1908, at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 7 days. Mr. Wise was one of our oldest citizens. He was a man of industrious habits and throough his ill health and last sickness he often wished that he might be out at his usual work. For 37 years he was a member of the Christian Church and through his last illness he often found great help in prayer to God. He leaves five sons and four daughters and a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, besides many other friends who mourn their loss. Let us hope ever that our loss will be his eternal gain. The funeral services where held at the house Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W.J. I don't know where she was born but her husband's (Peter McDonald) Rev War records indicated that they were married in 1782 in Berkely or Hampshire County, Virginia...now West Virginia. Estimated birth for Catherine...1762. After the Rev War they settled in Jefferson County, Ky where six of their children were born: Mary 1784, John 1785, Sarah 1787, James Madison 1789, Catherine 1791, Daniel 1793. They then moved across the Ohio River to Clark County, Indiana where five more children were born: Elizabeth 1795, Rachel 1798, Parmelia 1800, David 1803, and Peter 1806. Catherine Wise McDonald died 1841 in Clark Co., Indiana. Peter McDonald died in Charlestown, Clark Co., Indiana in 1825. Catherine Wise McDonald in my farthest female ancestor. I felt sure that she must be from the German Wise family here in Frederick Co., MD...but I have had my complete mtDNA done and find more matches in Ireland, England and Scotland then Germany. Have you checked on Rootsweb for  Peter Wise and spouse Ester Baum ancestry as well as descendants for Daniel.  This lineage has connections in Washington County, Pa going back to early 1800's as well as Maryland.  They list a son Daniel b. about 1830; There is another Daniel, brother to Peter above b.
