I"m afraid I can't answer questions about Francis Marion Wise and Sarah J. Moore as I have never really researched that line. However, I do have one bit of conflicting information that was given to me by another Wise researcher. I was told Francis Marion Wise died in Green Forest, Arkansas 11 July 1938. The only child I have for them is Charles W. Wise born 1879 in Arkansas. I'm a descendant of Nimrod Wise's sister Mary Ann (Wise) Simons who died in Clinton Co., IL 1 March 1893. My name is Kay Treadwell Anderson. I am an oncology clinical nurse specialist in Huntsville, AL. If you look at the section under Gladys' pictures that begins with James Lafayette Tingle, Gladys' father, Uncle Lem, is under his first wife. My grandmother, Ocie V. Tingle is under his second wife, Tommie Tucker. My grandmother married Jacob Benjamin Treadwell and I'm sure you or your mother have heard Gladys talk about "Aunt Ocie" They were very close and I had a good bit of contact with Gladys myself. I went to nursing school in Atlanta at Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1966. I saw Gladys a number of times while I was there and she helped me to find a place to have our rehearsal dinner. She used her membership at the Atlanta Athletic Club to help us to have the rehearsal dinner there. I still can't believe they demolished that beautiful building. Anyway, Gladys always wanted me to let her help me get into the DAR. At the time, I was finishing up my senior year in nursing school and planning a wedding. It seemed I was always either working or in class and I didn't have the time to do the research required. I wanted to know whom she used as a patron. I found out that it is Joseph Wise. I don't know if she used her mother's side of the family or her fathers to get into the DAR. If she used her mother's side, that will not help me. If she used her father's side and went through the Tingles, then, I can easily make the connection. I was able to find Malinda Holden, at 33, married with a few kids,I was able to find her at 13 with the white Parson family in Pickens,South Carolina listed as a servant. She never knew her exact birthday,so the date given is one made up.I tried tracing the Parson's. The head of the household shows up as Doc Parson,or ND Parson,but I can't find them going back prior to the 1920's to see if Malinda is listed, when I found Malinda at 13,she was listed as Linda Gasteur,so her name was misspelled on the childhood census.I would love to find out who Malinda's mom,was can't get a death certificate,I tried to order one online,she did have an SSN Mack Holden never had an SSN, I found his death and he was listed as being born in 1869, my grandmother always said he was so light he could have passed for white,his mother is listed as Jennie, and she might have been a former slave,because she had no maiden name,and the father was listed as unknown.Mack Holden was also previously married,and had a son name Frank and daughter named Pearl,my great aunt said her dad,mack never told her he had a brother,either,which i found,a brother named james,and in law named josie on the census. The Sloane family is my mother's real father's name,he lived and died in South Carolina, his name was Russell Sloane,he is listed as having many siblings,and I don't know if he had more kids,if so how many.
