    3. Tom, do you have access to a library where you can read census records on microfilm? You need to read the TN Soundex for 1910 to locate Creed Wise and work back from there to the 1900 census and then to the 1880 where Creed would most likely be included in his father's household. Check the Loudon Co records at the courthouse for the marriage of Creed and Mary Jane. If Mary Jane lived in Loudon, that's the likely place for the marriage record.. If any of Daisy May's siblings were born after 1914 you can get birth records from Nashville which will show the names of parents. Also death records of Daisy May or any of her siblings should show the names of her parents. They would also be in Nashville. Hope this helps a little bit. Mary Louise.

    3. I have just started researching my mother's family Wise. Being a beginner in this type of research I hardly know where to start. Very little is known of this family. My mother was Daisy May Wise b.May 1900. Siblings were Nannie,Lillian,Lucy,Molly,Richard, and Wesley. An elderly cousin said she remembered that our grandfather was referred to as Creed Wise and our grandmother was named Polly. Another elderly cousin ,daughter of Nannie has told me that her mother was born in Loudon Cty,Tn. and that our grandmother was named Mary Jane. The family subquently moved from the Hickory Creek area of Loudon Cty. to Knox Cty. Tn. Any info on this family or suggestion on how to proceed will be appreciated. Tom Cate
