William Wise I have was born about 1762.

Lydia Wise married Nathaniel Spears. I found a book, I would love to have, in the Anniston, AL library yesterday. I live in GA. A History of Marlboro Co., SC compiled by Rev. J. A. W. Thomas and published in 1897, 1971, and 1978 by Regional Publishing Co. in Baltimore, MD. Its Library of Congress # 73-181859 and the International # 0-8063-79855. There was quite a bit of information on the Wise and Spears. Too much for me to copy at 25 cents a page. P. 58 it states that Jonathan Wise appointed and others were appointed to build a courthouse and jail p. 61 Lydia Wise and Nathaniel Spears had 2 sons and a daughter. He came from Va. When he died she married a Mr. Trawick. Nathaniel came to Carolina and staked down a claim on banks of Three Creeks. P. 214 WW Wise wounded severely; alive, Muster Roll Co., F 21st Reg. SC Vol. The book also told of the Spears/Wise family as baking the best cakes in town. Next time I go (within a month) I plan to take sufficient money to copy these pages concerning the Wise/Spears section of the book. I did copy a Marlboro map which was in the back of the book showing where all families lived at the time. Spears and Wise family houses were included. Some of the Spears/Wise descendants traveled west and I know some Spears ended up in Mississippi because my ggrandfather was born there. I haven't found the missing links yet. Hi, I am new to the list, and I am looking for information on Elizabeth Wise, she was born abt 1808, in SC. She married Benjamin West a. 1831. They are in the 1850 Census of Gilmer Co. Thanks So much, I really appreciate the help that everyone has given me with the DAR lookup. I probably should have given more info, my William Dangerfield was a Col. He wasnt the Col. William that commanded the 7th VR, however. I am certain he was born in 1759 and died in SC 1826. I really need to find someting out about him. He also could have been listed with SC vets. of the Revolutionary. Again, thanks so much for the help, I am much obliged to all of you for your assistance, I wont soon forget your kindness. Hello, I need some help, I dont live in a Co. with a Daughters of the Revolutionary War books. I need someone to please look up William Dangerfield also spelled Daingerfield. He was from Virginia and served in the Rev. I heard that there are DAR books that have an index, can someone look him up for me, I would really appreciate it. He moved to South Carolina after the war, so he maybe listed there, and I dont know how many William Dangerfield/Daingerfield's served in the war either. Does anyone have a copy of the DAR for Accomac Wise's that they can send me?

Bill, my dad's elderly cousin went into the DAR on that WISE line...but now I understand from another cousin that the DAR has since not approved any more connections with that Accomac Co. VA line for our line of James Wise [1784-1858] m Permelia Miller in SC and migrated through Copiah Co. MS and on to Claiborne Parish, LA. Colonial Families of the United States of America: Volume 6 ISSUE page 68 THOMAS BELL of Accomac, Virginia; d. after 1715; m. Barbara Robins WISE, dau. of John and Hannah (SCARBOROUGH) WISE, and gd. dau. of Arthur ROBINS, 1694, all of Accomac County, Virginia. The WISES lived in West Devonshire, England, [p.68] before 1066, whose seventh direct descendent was Sir William WISE, 1176, nearly related to John RUSSELL, first Earl of Bedford and Lord HUNSDON, first cousin to Queen Elizabeth. Sir William WISE was the progenitor of John WISE who came to Virginia, 1635, d. November, 1695. He was the ancestor of Gov. Henry A. WISE, of Virginia; he m. Hannah SCARBOROUGH, dau. of Capt.
