C., moved to Jefferson Co., GA ca 1799, then on to Wilkinson Co., GA and finally settled in Dale Co., AL where he died. Their known children were Herren, Daniel,McKinney, and Levy Wise. Hello everyone, Just subscribed today. I am trying to find information on an ancestor named Henry Vice. I know that he is from Germany, where in Germany, I do not know. I found him in the Glengarry Co., Ontario, Canada 1871 Census. He was listed as being 56 years old, so that would have put him born abt 1815. Stories from the family say, that he was in the German war and ran away to Canada. So this could put him in Canada as early as 1833. I know that he married Angeline Murrey ( I have no other info on her except that she was born in Canada) and had 2 sons, George b. march 15, 1850 in Canada and the other son was Henry. It is said that he hid out in a cabin in the woods where he changed his name from Wise to Vice so that he couldnt be found. Is anyone able to help me in any way. It would be greatly appreciated. I am seeking information regarding ANTON WEISS, that lived in Brazil at the beginning of the century, in a city called Corupa, and he had, with your brother Josef Weiss, a dishes factory. Josef was my great-grandfather, and I am trying to get some information regarding some descending of Anton Weiss, for we change information. Anton Weiss immigrated from Germany to Brazil in the end of last century, and he left Brazil, probably to the USA entity 1920 and 1930. I have a diploma, that the factory Weiss won in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in the year of 1908, where they won silver medal for the high quality of the exposed products. Do you know whether there is a Philip Wise that appears in your tree who would have been born abt. 1766-1774 who later was unaccounted for? I am researching a Philip Wise who turns up in Frederick, Maryland with first known record being his marriage in 1793. I believe he is probably descended from 1 of 3 brothers who settled in MD approximately the same time but I have no evidence to support this belief so I am leaving no stone unturned in trying to trace his ancestry.
