    3. Hi Mitch, Thanks for the listing! I didn't write anything on Family Treemaker regarding Henry Wise, as I haven't been able to find anything about him. I have worked with Karen Furlong at the Richland/Mansfield library, and she has been very helpful. I really haven't done much work with those census records yet, and will try to pursue that a bit after the holidays. I only put into Family Tree Maker what I was sure of. Any info you find would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps putting this info on the net will yield some new information for me. Have a Merry Christmas, and let's keep in touch. 3. Can somebody please help. Last summer I was told of a Parish through this newsgroup where to find my GGG grandfather listed in the records. It was great. But I never recorded it for some reason in my family tree. I believe it was St. Peter's Parish and it had listed all it's Lutheran members. It had a page on (Volenyia?) When I built this computer I had backed up all my favorites, email and such. Well one of my backups were defective and I lost everything. So anyway I am tring to find my Weiss/Fredrich connection. My searches give me to many to look through. Can anybody please help. Would definately appreciate it. Thanks Sue

    3. David Wise of Madison Twp, Richland County, Ohio is online! http://web.tusco.net/wisenct/WiseRichCoCensus.htm http://web.tusco.net/wisenct/DavidWiseMadisonTwpRichlandCoOh.htm Hi Sally, Thanks for sending me your familytreemaker info on David Wise of Richland County, Ohio. I am not only interested in the Wises in my family but also any Wise related lines especially those with Ohio connections. One thing I found is that your FTM page does not list David's son Henry. On the 1850 census Henry is 10 years old. There is not a Henry listed in Madison Twp or anywhere in Richland County in 1860 but there is one in 1880. This Henry is about the right age to have fought in the Civil War and if so he would have a military file in the National Archives. David's 1840 census lists 6 indiviuals who could all be his children. 1 Male 40-50 1 Female 30-40 2 Males 20-30 1 Male 15-20 1 Male 10-15 (John A. ?) 1 Female 15-20 1 Female 5-10 If you do not already have the census records for all the Wises in Madison Township, I would try to get them. There are 3 other Wises listed in Madison township besides your David in 1830. These could be brothers or even one could be the father. I don't know when you left this area but the city of Canton, Ohio has an excellent genealogy depart at its city library. The next time I am there I'll try to see what I can find on David. Mitch Wise

    3. If you are speaking of Casper Wise, he married Olive E. Knight in Mahaska co. Iowa abt 1885. If you mean George Wise and Mary Ragen, the only thing I know is they were married in Indiana, no date or location. I need all the help I can get!!!!!!! 3. Yes please, I would like to have any information you can give me on the predecessors of Casper George Wise. I'm sure you read my last posting, but I will repeat part of it. Casper was the son of George Wise and Mary Ragen. They were married in Indiana, location unknown, and Casper was born in 1863 in Indiana. At some point in time they moved to Wapello co. Iowa. It isn't much but its all I have, I hope you can get me back on track again. Thanks, Harvey KDWise1@aol.com wrote: > I do not know whether this is of use or how common the name "Casper" was, but > during the mid 1700 - late 1800's, there is a family of Wise's in the > York/Adams County area of Pennsylvania which began with a "Casper" and the > name repeats each generation that I observed.
