    3. Hi Suann, I'm probably just grasping at straws, but here goes. My family name is Wyse and my ancestors came to Canada from Scotland. While checking the IGI recently I found information on my g grandfathers marriage date, his name there was spelled Wise. Now most of the information I've seen on this line seems to be in the USA. Have you found any connection to Scotland? My g grandfathers name was John Wise or Wyse, as far as I know he died in Scotland, his son, or one of them, Thomas, came to Canada in 1920. Some of his children settled in the USA. His son Thomas lived in New Jersey where his son Thomas now resides. If you find any connection will you please let me know. 3. Brian, I have information on a Solomon Wise of Accomack, VA that seems related to your Solomon Wise, by virtue of common names. He first married Susanna Parker, and they had seven children. John P. (1794-1840) married Leah Cobb, had son named Moses Henry (1796 -1819) Catherine (1799-?) Thomas (1801-?) Major (1803-?) George H. (1806-?) Susanna (1810-?) Solomon's second wife was Ann Crippen Darby (marriage bond dated 30 March 1820). He had four children with her: Edward T. (1821-1889) married Mary Parker Guy Benjamin D. William H. (1825-1894) Susan (1825-?) More information about this line is available in a collection of Wise family records at the Eastern Shore Public Library. I didn't find a direct link to your Solomon in my references. Please let me know if you are interested in additional information on this line. 3. Hello Suann, Another cousin, Frank Wise, and I are searching for any information about the ancestors of our mutual great grandfather, Sylvester J. Wise. There is very little information about him, but here is what I have. He was born in 1850 in Indiana (place of birth is from my grandmother's death certificate). He married Harriet "Hattie" J. Lasley in Neosho Co, KS on 10 Nov 1881 (source is their marriage license. At that time his residence is listed as "Labette Co, Kansas" and his age was 31. She was 28 and listed as a resident of Neosho Co, Kansas. They had 4 children: Inez Blanche Wise b. 20 Aug 1882 Francis Lee Wise b. 01 Jun 1884 Florence Jessie Wise b. 08 Mar 1887 George W. Wise b. 1889 Sylvester died in 1924 and is buried in Union Cemetery, Cherokee Township, Montgomery Co, KS. Hattie is buried there also. We have tried all sorts of things and can find nothing to tie Sylvester to any parents. The Lasley family is documented back at least 3 generations beyond Hattie and looking where her people were has yet to produce any results on Sylvester. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated.
