My mom and I have been doing some heavy research in Sauk County the last two weeks with MUCH success. We located the grave of my great-grandmother and gg-grandparents in the Kingston Cemetery. We also found wonderful records at St. John's Church in Prairie du Sac. In researching at the Register of Deeds office we found the names of my ggg-grandparents!!! Although we are thrilled to find all these legal documents, we would like to add obituaries, wedding announcements and birth announcements to our research documentation. Many of the relatives were based in Prairie du Sac, Honey Creek or Baraboo....can anyone tell me which newspapers would have covered that area around the late 1800's and early 1900's???? Would the library in Baraboo have this on microfilm or is it elsewhere? Also, we had 10 minutes to stop in at the Historical Society today and they were giving a tour to school kids, so we didn't get a chance to talk to anyone there. What resources are available at the Historical Society that might be beneficial? Thanks in advance for any and all help!!
