I hope someone out there can give me a hand in finding my Haskin(s) and Woodling families. 1860 Census, Ironton, Sauk Co: S. Haskins, age 40, b. NY Ann Haskins, age 43, b. PA E.R. Haskins, age 14, b. Ind. W.R.. Haskins, age 6, b. Ind. 1870 Census, LaValle, Sauk Co: Samuel Haskin, age 50, HH, Dry Goods Ann Haskin, age 53, wife Wallace R., age 16, son Nancy Ann Bailey, age 17, adopted August Meyer, age 14, adopted Elisabeth Meyer, age 6, adopted 1850 Clark Co., IN shows a Samuel J. Haskins as being in incarcerated in the state prison for grand larceny. This could be Ann's husband as the age and place of birth is correct. But I can find no evidence of Ann living in that county in the census. I wonder where she was at? The E.R. listed in the 1860 census is Edwin R. Haskin., The W. R. is my gg-grandfather, Wallace Rowland Haskin who married Mary Sophia Brandt. They all made the move to Antelope County, though at different times, and are all buried there. Samuel and Annie moved to Antelope County, Nebraska around 1873. Both are buried at Millerboro Cemetery. If the death age is correct on their markers then I have the following dates for them: Samuel J. Haskin b. 20 May 1820, NY; d. 7 Jan 1892, Antelope Co., NE Annie Woodling, b. 26 Dec. 1817, PA; d. 1 Feb. 1882, Antelope Co., NE Ann is listed variously as Ann, Anna and Annie. Her grave marker has her middle initial as "R". This is the only place an R shows up. I have found an IGI Record and the LDS website for Anna Louella Woodling married Samuel Jenny Haskin 17 Oct. 1841 <south bend> St. Joseph County, Indiana. I don't know if this is correct as I can not find a marriage record for them in St. Joseph County, IN. Any help appreciated. Dee Yeager dyeager@televar.com
