To Lois Mogren -- Cynthia Brownell married Mr. Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston -- they had two daughters. Mr. Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlson went to fight in the Turkish War and was at the siege of Tripoli under Commodore Bainbridge and was taken prisoner and exchanged. He heard his wife was dead (Cynthia) -- so didn't go home and re-married a lady near Philadelphia. Cynthia Brownell Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston -- supposed that her husband was dead and married Mr. Thomas Hill in 1807. They had three sons (Lafayette Hill was one) and Mr. Hill died in 1814. Lafayette Hill lived for a time near Portage City,WI. I know Cynthia Brownell Rollson/Rowlinson/Rawlston because she was the mother of Hannah Rawlston who married John Barry in Colchester, VT Cynthia is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Reedsburg, Sauk County, WI -- no headstone remains. I have a Barry family history (written in the 1870's) which tells about Cynthia. Also, Cynthia's name is mentioned in the History of Sauk County (I have those pages) -- plus, she is mentioned in a few other county history books (regarding the Barry family).
