    3. I was just at the Record of Deeds yesterday a little before 9:00 am so I could spend a good portion of the day looking at records before making my 3 hours trip back home. I signed in (in two places) and proceeded back to the research area about 9:00 am. I had printed out a copy of the message from schist@shopstop.net dated February 21, 2000 about the new policies guidelines for "on-site researching" effective March 1, 2000 so I felt I had the most up to date information about researching at the Sauk County Record of Deeds. Plus, I had been there researching in June 2000 and had no problem looking at records in the research area. So, I was very shocked when one of the employees came in and told me I should not be back in the research area and if I wanted to look at one of the books, they would get it for me but I would need to be out at the front counter area. IS THERE ANOTHER NEW POLICY ABOUT RESEARCHING at the Sauk County Record of Deeds? Would some one be able to attach a scanned copy of the official policy regarding "On-Site Researching" so I could keep it with me? The February 21, 2000 message I was referring to had points A-J under it. I thought I had saved it but I didn't. Any information about this would be appreciated. :-) Kris Rein
